The property was formerly the Hungarian Consulate and seems to have been designed for entertaining and as such is larger downstairs than up. The formal nature of the Entrance Hall, Sitting and Dining Rooms with their high ceilings, polished wood floors and fireplaces are in contrast to the relaxed style of the Family, Games and TV rooms to the rear of House. All of the reception rooms with the exception of the Bar are large.
The Style for the whole property is Colonial African, the Sitting room has heavy 'Buffalo Hide' furniture, with a Sofa and chairs set around the large fireplace. This cool room, with large sliding doors opening up onto the South side of the property, is an ideal place for Adults to relax. Double doors lead to the Bar. The Dining room has a long table and chairs to comfortably seat ten, a curved glass bay window, with window seat, looks out over the gardens and tennis court.
To the rear of the property are located the open plan Kitchen-Breakfast and Family room, the Games and Television Rooms. The kitchen is hand made with a wide expanse of solid wood work surfaces and plenty of storage space, a large breakfast table with benches and arm chairs is within easy reach. The kitchen has a dish washer, microwave and stove style cooker. Whilst the utility room, located nearby, has a fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The windows of the kitchen open and concertina back completely, this coupled with the slate floors keeps the kitchen bright and airy.
The family room adjoining the kitchen is the hub of the house, its wide sliding doors and the 'glass wall' effect open into the pool garden.
The television room also has sliding doors onto the garden and is equipped with a Television, DVD player and satellite box. The Bar is located through the games room (with a pool table and 'table-football') towards the rear of the house, it has double doors onto the rear patio.
Upstairs there are five bedrooms. The master bedroom has views up over the mountain and an en-suite bathroom with large shower, freestanding bath and under floor heating. Of the other rooms the guest bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom whilst the two twin rooms and the smaller room share the family bathroom.
